Boston, May 14, 2009 (PR Newswire etc) - The New Ireland Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") announced that the Fund's annual meeting of stockholders will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 9 a.m. at the Harvard Club, 27 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036. Only stockholders of record at the close of business on Monday April 13, 2009 are entitled to notice of and to vote at the Meeting, or any adjournments thereof. At the annual meeting, stockholders will be asked to consider two nominees for election as directors of the Fund.
